Our trombone performances begin a day early this weekend. I mean, sure, there is your typical Gameday routine, away at Athens this Saturday.

Saturday, November 1 (all times Central)

  • 7:00 AM Band departs for Athens, Georgia
  • 10:30 AM Band arrives at the University of Georgia
  • 12:15 PM Tiger Walk Begins
  • 12:45 PM Band marches to stadium
  • 2:30 PM Kick-Off at Georgia on CBS

Gallon-Milk Challenge pictureBut before all of that can come down, there’s the little matter of a well-known Trombone Tradition. The Gallon-Milk Challenge. For those interested in learning more, including the rules for the 2007 Main Event, check out the Facebook event.

It will be a night of calcium-enriched merriment, a festival of nauseous delights. Also someone’s going to puke up some milk.
